TEC Box Curriculum
TEC (Tinker, Explore, Create) Box is a program developed by the Nebraska Extension Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Opportunities (YEBO) issue team. The program is designed for youth in grades 3-5 and includes four primary lessons intended to help youth explore entrepreneurship. TEC Box itself is a makerspace kit educators can purchase to enhance the learner experience. The kit includes a variety of household items, such as straws, yarn, glue, cardboard, rubber bands, pipe cleaners, pencils, and paper clips. Youth use these random materials to create a product prototype.
The curriculum includes a facilitator guide for educators, as well as a youth workbook. The publications are available for purchase as digital downloads.
